The music and folklore of Latin American is honored in this cannot miss Mississauga Latin Festival. Each year more than 200 artists participate in the festival among musical and folkloric groups. For the festival, the participation of these groups is of utmost importance since it contains the different manifestations of musical and folkloric styles over time that show the cultural diversity of Latin America and the joy of its people. Styles that identify each of the 19 countries with musical rhythms, colorful traditional costumes and contagious movements of traditional dances such as Salsa. With the presentation of musical artists, the festival seeks to promote and support the Latin American artist while bringing the whole community to music, a heritage of every human being; and with the presentation of folkloric groups we seek to promote the Latin folklore of the different geographical regions in Latin America and preserve these traditional dances for future generations.
