Parade

event features parade

One of the most important attractions at the Mississauga Latin Festival is its parade of traditional costumes with musical and folklore delegations from different parts of Ontario and Canada. This parade also includes personalities and politicians from the city headed by the Mayor of the city of Mississauga and its councilors as well as provincial and federal representatives. In the Mississauga Latin Festival parade, which is already a tradition and awaited by all attendees, the joy that identifies Latinos is shown through their native musical groups with percussion and wind instruments such as "Papayeras" and "Chirimias" to animate their music, the audience and the dance groups that each year participate with a typical traditional dress of each Latin American country. In addition Mississauga Latin Festival invites other countries aside from Latin America to share and show their typical costumes in this parade that has become not only a parade of Latin American but a parade of cultures.
